Trying out the Embrionix decap and encap devices from L2tek

The first phase of my experimental investigation was to encapsulator an SDI signal into SMPTE ST 2110 using the Embrionix encapsulator and de-encapsulator received from L2tek.

The Embrionix SDI to IP gateways provides multiple practical interfaces to bridge SDI signals into IP. The modules are based on a small form factor (SFP+) that are usually installed inside a standard 10GbE IP switch. There are very easy to set up. Figure 1 shows the features of an Embrionix Software-Defined SFP dual sender.
